Subsidy for reduced CO₂ emissions (SDE++ 2020) published

The Renewable Energy Production and Climate Transition Subsidy Scheme (SDE++) was published in the Government Gazette on 22 September 2020. With this scheme, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate encourages the reduction of CO2emissions.

The SDE++ 2020 is open from 24 November 2020, 9:00 am to 17 December 2020, 17:00. The budget is € 5 billion. We have four phases for the SDE++. In the first phase, you can only carry out projects with a grant intensity of up to € 65/tonne of CO2 Submit. RVO then gradually opens up the scheme to more expensive projects up to € 300/tonne of CO2. You apply for your grant through the eLoket of RVO.

Operating subsidy

With the SDE++ subsidy scheme, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate encourages the reduction of CO2emissions. This is achieved by producing renewable energy and reducing the use of natural gas in the Netherlands. The SDE++ is an operating subsidy. This means that you receive a subsidy for the renewable energy produced or the reduced co emissions2.
